| May 21,2002 | We just got done with the first annual PAReX Autonomous Event. We did quite well with Master Mazer taking 1st place, Mini-Spat taking 1st place, and Horrible Harry getting 2nd!! |
| Apr 27,2002 | Well I've been really busy getting ready for our first annual PAReX autonomous competition. I'll be entering Master Mazer and a new mini-sumo robot called Mini-Spat. I'll have to get some pictures taken when I get a chance. |
| Mar 15,2002 | Progress has been slow, but I made a few changes to Kram, pending a weapon addition. |
| Oct 8,2001 | Well BotBash was a blast! Kram didn't perform as well as I would have liked. Only lasted 9 seconds in the first match when I was pushed into a gap at the edge of the arena floor. I went the distance during the 2nd match, but lost to the judges decision. David drove during the rumble and went about 10 minutes till the batteries ran down. Took some damage there but that's what it's all about. |
| Oct 4,2001 | Kram is finished and ready for battle. Checkout the gallery pictures before someone cuts it all up. |
| Sep 27,2001 | Well things are moving real quick now. I've only got a week left and still need to make a few parts like the front scoop. Added a few pictures to Kram's gallery. |
| Aug 30,2001 | Wow did things change! BotBash announced an October competition and I have Kram entered in the lightweight division. No autonomous events this time so I need to mothball the mazerunner and get going on Kram. |
| Aug 16,2001 | Did some more work on MasterMazer. Added a 2nd IR sensor to speed up the readings. |
| Jul 22,2001 | Just when we get a date locked in, things change again. Now rumor has it that BotBash will be in October some time. They might add a mini-sumo competition, which is another autonomous type event. If I get time maybe I can build a sumo robot and enter it. |
| Jul 9, 2001 | Well it looks like BotBash is now scheduled for 9/15-9/16. With the large interest this sport now has, a lottery will be used to select the 32 entries. So now there's only a 1 in 3 chance I'll even get entered into the event. |
| Jan 1, 2001 | My goal is to compete in the BotBash 2001 event, which should be in August. The lightweight division is up to 12 lbs. and I estimate that I'm around 11 lbs. now. Doesn't look like there's room for a weapon, maybe a boring wedge of some kind. Since BotBash also includes an obstacle course and capture the flag, the high ground clearance and speed should help me. |
